Poland — Polish Eagle Silver Signet Ring, Vintage, Well Worn WWII 1942-1945

Small Polish patriotic signet ring in silver: a raised rectangular panel with the Polish White Eagle, wings spread, flanked by grooved shoulders. This one has truly been lived in — the eagle is soft and smooth from years of wear on someone's hand, the silver has warm toning, and the inside of the band carries a deep, honest patina. Measures 19.9 mm across the head (outside). Patriotic eagle rings like this were worn by Poles through the Second World War and the emigration years that followed, and the worn ones — carried, not kept in a drawer — are the ones collectors of Polish militaria look for.
